World Famous Cy Kitten Finds a New Home

Saturday, April 13th, 2019

When the world was first shocked

On December 2005 an API national news story splashed on the Internet and newspapers with a photo of a one-eyed cat affectionally named Cy. Short for cyclops because Cy was a baby kitten born with one centrally located eye. The world ’s reaction to the cute yet repulsive image was mixed with affection, amazement and  unbelief.  Many could not buy that the shocking photo was real. “Photo-shop” they claimed!

The Lost World Museum realized the poor kitty would allow our 1 year old web site on the Internet  to piggy back the international recognition she had received but more importantly the cute one-eye mutant would exemplify a major talking point in the evolution vs. creation debate…Mutations.

Creation vs. Evolution debate

Cy was a product of genetic mutation.  Evolution’s main tenant of belief is that “Positive mutations” are vital to morph a rodent to a monkey to a human.

What we countered or rather what Cy said was, a mutation is either negative or at best neutral never “positive”. Mutations usually kill organisms or reduce any kind of positive forward momentum in the evolutionary. That there are not any examples of  “positive” mutations casts doubt that RNA  3 billion years could morph that RNA to us humans today.

2019 Cy Moves to a New Home

Joe Caltabiano from Oddities Bizarre contacted us through eBay and was very enthusiastic in becoming  Cy’s new owner. We decided to let Cy go to Joe and I’ll tell you why.  When we first launched the Lost World Museum with Cy, the media branded us as an oddity museum. This is far from our mission. And Cy, even though she fits so well with our evolutionary mutation discussion and mission had one problem. To see this specimen floating in her alcohol bottle environment, people found her as an oddity more so than the spokes kitten for creationism.

It was a tough decision, but Cy marched on to a better home with a new context with Joe Caltabiano as the new owner. To learn more about Cy.  First visit Joe’s web site at www.odditiesbizarre.com and read his cool story of the Cy-clops kitten by Clicking Here

Also visit our Lost World Store. Cy still has an amazing story to tell. On the back of this 3-part photo card set, Cy goes into detail about her short life, the media reaction plus she challenges the evolutionary position of “positive” mutations as a building block for evolution’s amoeba to man hypothesis.

We wish Joe Caltabiano at Oddities Bizarre all the best…and fair well Cy.

The Last Jedi – Star Wars Fans Frustrated.

Monday, December 18th, 2017

*UNWARNING* (This article contains NO spoilers)

Since the release of the new Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi, it has been met with intense fan dissatisfaction to the point, and I quote, “Terrible movie…..I’m done with Star wars….I’ve read over a 100 star wars books…I’m out”  Fans are feeling empty, the movie franchise has not made good on what people are looking for.

Back in 1982, while in the US Navy, each night I’d listen to the Empire Strikes Back on audio cassette, a dramatized recording which fed an intense desire to join Han and the crew to fly aboard the Millennium Falcon saving the universe.

Frustrated! No matter how much I wanted to step though the movie screen or melt into the pages of a Han Solo novel, it was impossible because it’s a fictional story, there is no Han Solo, light sabers are press camera light bulb handles and Ewoks are fuzzy costumed actors conceived in Lucas’s commericalized mind.

Two years later, while relaxing  on board my ship, the USS Alamo, I was taking a break and uncharacteristically read the Book of Revelation, a prophetic book found in the Bible. As I read these 1,900 year old verses, something so incredible, so unexpected, totally changed the course of my life…I discovered The Real Star Wars Story;

Enter the graphic novel by Jim Pinkoski titled The Star Lords Controversy. Pinkoski captures the essence of this story from the scriptures, with an easy to read compelling captions with colorful illustrations retelling the original good vs. evil story. Guaranteed to fill and satisfy your wants of true adventure. Because it’s a true story, it will not, it cannot disappoint.

Unveiling of The Tree of Life – December 2017

Tree of Life

To unveil a painting is an uncommon thing. When you consider the process of creating a painting, from concept to finished art, it can take months and sometimes years to get the final result the artist wants.

          (Elfred Lee’s The Invitation)

It’s been over 13 years since the museum unveiled Elfred Lee’s Noah’s Ark painting titled: “The Invitation to a crowd of well over one hundred in Syracuse, NY.  Many of whom took a print home to place on their walls.

On Saturday December 30th 2017 at 11am, another Elfred Lee original fine art piece will make it’s debut and you are invited. The unveiling will be conducted at the conclusion of a talk titled the same as the painting The Tree of Life”

The painting is so colorful and the design  inspiring so that the few who have had a sneak peak glimpse were overwhelmed with positive emotion.

The location of the event will be at the Fulton SDA Church 45 West 4th St. South in Fulton, NY 13069. Here’s the DIRECTIONS    See you there!

Do Aliens Walk Among us? Well do they?

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

23,000 U.S. adults surveyed asking “Do believe aliens walk among us?” 20% said “Yes” aliens do walk among us dressed as humans. The Chinese poll responded double with 40% polled saying “I believe!”

Wow, if that is true, how do you tell who is my real brother and who is from another planet?  Do they hide their looks with a homo-sapien rubber mask or perhaps technology to morphs their looks? If you ask an alien if they are an alien, are they compelled to tell you the truth? I’m confused, but apparently these people are not.

One popular 40 year old theory stated emphaticaly this Earth was visited by aliens tens of thousands of years ago and the aliens genetically altered and advanced the caveman’s human development. Check out the 1970’s classic documentary, Chariots of the gods.

In the book Secrets of the Lost Races, author Rene Noorbergen does a tremendous job answering this alien question by postulating that 4,000 years ago, in the wake of a world wide flood, an intelligent giant human race were left to rebuild the devastation and responsible for all the impossibly built ancient technological mega-structures and anomalous inventions. Not Aliens.

Alien flying saucer sightings, reported in the news and on video are compelling. The physically impossible flight trajectories documented on video and sworn testimony by credible people are compelling. But what are they? If there is no such things as aliens, then this is either man-made or it’s a super-natural. If super-natural, this it’s an elaborate hoax Satan and his angels are orchastrating. I believe it’s a set-up for something in the near future. Word is, be careful how you process sensory information. Because if we live through the days preceding the 2nd coming of Christ, seeing will not be believing.

Shroud of Turin – Burial Cloth of Jesus?

Saturday, April 3rd, 2010

Apparently those who believe in its authenticity are going to great lengths to map out digitally and recreate this human image, graphically embedded in cloth, into a 3D equivalent which is going on display in Turin, Italy April 10th-May 23rd 2010.

Yes that’s right in order to see every nuance this supposed image of Christ the curator’s will be passing out 3D glasses to attendees and giving an opportunity to study this one-of-a-kind artifact themselves in the third dimension.

Is the Shroud of Turin a hoax? Can the image really be the energy of a Devine being, being released at death, like an x-ray, captured in fabric? Is it really the burial cloth of Christ?

Here’s the problem, the New Testament records that the grave cloths were in 2 pieces: 1.) Head cloth 2.) Body cloth, wrapped around the deceased person’s body. The Shroud of Turin however is one long piece that begins at the feet, travels up and around the head and back down the back side to the feet again as one complete covering.

Also carbon dating suggests an age of around 1260-1390A.D.  Christ died around 34 A.D.

So as much as one may want to believe it’s evidence of God, we believe it’s a hoax.  Whether it was created to fool people or to honor God cannot be determined, the artist never recorded his or her intensions for us to consider.
