Evolution and Human Fossil Footprints

Evolution and Human Fossil Footprints
A footprint in stone is a snap shot in time. It helps us learn something about our ancient ancestors. However a fossil impression only tells us part of the story.

Author Aaron Jenkins believes that to rightly divide truth from fiction the philosophical place we begin our inquiry is paramount. Each print presents a mystery beckoning to be solved. So like a crime scene investigator Jenkins begins this book by exploring Evolution and shares his thoughts where each of the sciences fail within Evolution mainly geology and paleoanthropology.

Jenkins suggests a creationism as better view or at least another way of interpreting the footsteps in stone. He spends the last 1/3 of the book introducing the fossil evidence. Footprints from Africa to Tennessee, South America to British Columbia. Famous prints such as the Laetoli tracks, Zapata track and the Taylor Trail, many of which I did not know even existed.

All over the world humans have inadvertently left their mark in mud which has tantalize us to understand something about them and their culture. Will this journey lead us to conclude we evolved from a 3 ft. apelike creature named Lucy or begotten from a created majestic being named Adam? You decide.
